NovaraJazz 2009|10

The winter in Novara hosts the two concerts’ NovaraJazz 2009/2010: Sabir Mateen Omni Four, Noego, Mike Reed’s People with Places & Things and Stefano Ferrian, Luca Pissavini e Andrea Quattrini Trio featuring Sabir Mateen.

NovaraJazz seventh edition comes back during summer into Novara streets. It brings the audience to the discovery of Utsav Lal, the raga pianist who reinterprets traditional Indian music. The Piazza Duomo main stage was inaugurated by Roberto Gatto I-Jazz Band 2010 with the first great I-Jazz National Association production. Mulatu Astatke presents to NovaraJazz 2010 his Mulatu Steps Ahead project for the first time in Italy and Willem Breuker Kollektief plays his last concert. NovaraJazz 2010 closes with Baby Charles, the most explosive group into the new deep funk english scene.

The appointment dedicated to cinema is a Anita O’Day tribute con Robbie Cavolina’s Anita O’Day: The Life of a Jazz Singer.

NovaraJazz 2010 means also Jazz & Wine moments in beautiful location around Ticino’s Park and the Tappa Jazz first edition with a bike ride from Novara to Villa Picchetta. It means at last book presentations and jam sessions.
